Which web 2.0 language should I use to set up my own social networking site?

I'd like to set up a social networking site, but I only know HTML and basic CSS. What should I learn to set up a profile page system much like myspace or facebook? And how is the best way to learn?

You need to learn a server side language (ie Asp, php, cfm, etc). Work with a database structure (ie postgre, mysql, sql, access etc)


and look into AJAX for serving up goodies and applications.
